NINA
- 1975 – Among the first to execute expansion joint treatment with Polysulphide sealants.
- 1978 – PROOFSOL certified by IIT Bombay conforming to IS 2645.
- 1979 – Differentiated capability becomes visible- Nina Successfully waterproofed India’s largest UG water retaining structure- The World Bank aided MCGM Bhandup Master Balancing Reservoir project.
- Pan-India capability starts to show– Tata Motors in Pune, Kuwait Embassy and Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi and several projects in J&K, etc.
Growing Continually
- Early Pioneers of Polymer Modified Concrete and Mortars in Waterproofing.
- 1985-86: Nina Executed complex projects for BARC, at Trombay and the Launching Pad at ISRO’s space station at Sriharikota.
- 1994: Nina Waterproofed ‘Suraj Apts’ in Mumbai– Then India’s tallest building at G+38.
- 1992 – Percept Group was established as an organisation to execute the waterproofing projects in Kochi.
Technological Prowess visible driving growth
- 1995: Mr. Mehul Parikh joins Nina’s family business.
- 1997: NINA ties-up with Propex Concrete Systems, USA to pioneer and promote commercial usage of PP Fiber reinforced concrete in India for the first time.
- 1998-99: Completes 2L sqm WP in 18 months for the Indica plant, Tata Motors in Pune, then India's largest Greenfield Auto plant.
- 1999 – Percept Group got incorporated as a private limited company under the name Percept Engineers Pvt Ltd (PEPL).
Capability Differentiation and professionalization continues
- 2001: Nina Completes India’s then largest façade renovation project for Hotel Oberoi Towers, Nariman Point, Mumbai– First time usage of Electrical Mast climbing Platforms for building of > 110 m height.
- 2002: Business moves into Pvt. Ltd setup as Nina Concrete Systems Pvt. Ltd.- India's first specialist waterproofing contracting company to be ISO 9001:2000 certified for its QMS.
- 2001– Percept Established the Polyplus brand of Waterproofing products under Percept.
- Established the HYDRO brand of waterproofing products under NINA.
- Hetal Parikh joins the family business as a Whole time Director.
Pioneering New Technology Adoption
- Nina Establishes tie-ups with various leading international companies such as Dryvit Systems INC USA for EIFS and Specialty Finishes, Crommelin Chemicals Australia for water based 1k LAM’s, Imper Italia for PVC & TPO membranes to bring the cutting edge waterproofing and pioneering building envelope solutions to India.
- World’s Largest Phone Manufacturing Unit is being waterproofed by NPPL.
- 2008: Nina Executes waterproofing for India's then largest 5 Star Hotel, ITC Chola Sheraton, Chennai.
- 2009: Nina Completes tie-up with Stirling Lloyd Polychem UK and brings for the first time to India, MMA resin cold spray applied solvent free systems for Bridges and Building structures as a high performance waterproofing system.
Growing Stronger, New Partnerships
- 2010-11: Nina is one of the earliest users of Fully bonded HDPE membranes for Substructure waterproofing and quickly becomes the largest user in India by 2015.
2011: Nina becomes the first and till date remains the only specialised waterproofing contractor in India, to cross Rs 100 Cr annual revenues in this segment.
2012: Nina secures the contract for the Chenani Nashri Tunnel, the longest road tunnel in India of 9 km, also the then single largest waterproofing project with approx. 5,50,000 sqm of PVC membrane and value of Rs. 42 Cr.
2013 – Percept Engineers became a subsidiary of India’s largest Waterproofing Material Manufacturer M/s. Pidilite Industries Ltd. under the name Percept Waterproofing Systems Ltd. (PWSL).
2014- Created an in-house technical design team to offer project customised Waterproofing Solution services to clients.
2015 : Nina becomes the first waterproofing contracting company to become ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001 and OHSHAS 18001 certified in this segment.
2015: Nina becomes a part of M/s. Pidilite Industries Ltd. as Nina Waterproofing Systems. Pvt. Ltd.
2015– Expanded technological expertise with High Performance Spray applied solutions like Polyurea, 2 K PU and Spray applied PUF insulation cum waterproofing.
Clear Pan India Leadership Established
- 2016– Percept Recognized as the ‘Power Building’ Brand in Waterproofing category on a Pan India basis by REALTY PLUS Magazine
- Nina and Percept merge together to form India’s Largest Waterproofing entity with Mr. Mehul Parikh (Managing Director) and Mr. Sudish M S (Whole time Director) and Mrs. Hetal Parikh (Director) helming the management team.
- Nina Percept Sales Turnover crosses Rs. 300 Cr.
- Awarded by CIDC as ‘Best Professionally Managed Company’ in the turnover bracket of 100-500 Cr for two consecutive years FY 18-19 and FY 19-20.
Consolidating & Focus on execution excellence
- 2022- Awarded patent for Hydroflex UG waterproofing system
- 3rd time awarded by CIDC as ‘Best Professionally Managed Company’ in Category – III (Turnover Rs.100 Cr to Rs.1000 Cr) for FY 22-23.
- 2023- Nina Percept becomes a 100% subsidiary of M/s Pidilite Industries Ltd.
- Waterproofed India’s New Parliament Building, New Delhi.
- NPPL waterproofs the World’s Largest Office Building and interconnected building - Surat Diamond Bourse and the Building with largest basement i.e. ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
- Waterproofed the World’s largest vaccine manufacturing unit i.e. Serum Institute, Pune.
- Demonstrated the execution capability to Waterproof 7 out the 10 of the tallest buildings in India.
- Distinction of now being the Specialist contractor to have Waterproofed the most number of Metro Stations ( Underground + Elevated ) across India.
- Dec '23 – NPPL moves to a new large corporate office -Opus Prime, Andheri(E), Mumbai.
